These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Mae application and website located at www.askmae.app (“Platform”), operated by Mae ABN 90 573 440 269 (“Mae”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
By downloading, accessing, or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. About Mae
Mae is an information access platform designed to help postpartum mothers navigate maternal and infant health information. Mae helps you find, organise, and understand existing evidence-based information — it does not provide medical diagnoses, clinical assessments, or treatment recommendations.
Mae is not a substitute for professional medical, midwifery, lactation, or mental health advice. Always seek guidance from a qualified healthcare professional for your individual circumstances.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account and use the Platform. By using Mae, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3. Your Account
3.1 Registration
Some features of the Platform require you to create an account. You agree to:
provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration;
keep your account credentials confidential;
notify us immediately at hello@askmae.app if you suspect unauthorised access to your account; and
be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3.2 Account termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct that we reasonably consider harmful to other users or to the Platform.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Mae only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
use the Platform in any way that breaches any applicable Australian or international law or regulation;
attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its infrastructure;
upload or transmit any content that is harmful, offensive, defamatory, or infringes the rights of any third party;

5. Health and Medical Information Disclaimer
The information made accessible through Mae is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not intended to be, and should not be interpreted as, medical advice or a clinical recommendation specific to your personal health situation.
Mae does not employ medical practitioners and is not a registered health service provider. Information provided through the Platform does not constitute a therapeutic relationship between you and Ask Mae.
In a medical emergency, call Triple Zero (000) immediately. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 or the Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Australia (PANDA) helpline on 1300 726 306.
